The Turtle Snap

2dogleash.com's Turtle Snap allows you to quickly release your dog from his lead with just one hand. We make leashes with the Turtle Snap especially for hunters and for dog shows.

This is how the Turtle Snap works. To attach, hold the Turtle Snap in your hand and slide the thumbrest forward using your thumb as shown in the figure above (the button does NOT push in). The jaws will open to allow you to attach the Turtle Snap to your dog's collar. The Snap will withstand as much as 800 pounds of force without opening. When you are ready to release your dog, just pull the outer tube straight back; there's no need to touch the thumbrest. It's an immediate release.
