Wind Whisper Products, Inc was started in 1996 by Joan and George Heminger, near Annapolis Maryland. Originally started as a marine supply company, selling small boats and a make your own component dock line system. At the Annapolis Boat Show, my younger brother looked at the dock line and said, "this would make a great dog leash" and made one and it sold, made another and it sold instantly. That’s when we started the line of pet products.  We have all the bright colors and since the leads started from dock lines, they are 100% salt water safe.

We've been doing Pet shows for many years and many of the dog leash designs are directly from our customers.

The Comfort Handle Design concept was from a lady in New York who had arthritis in her hands and could not hold a regular leash.
The standard 6 ft length Recommend by a vet who said, “6 ft is the perfect length and a round lead is better than a flat lead.”
2 dog leash, 3 dog leash Came directly from customers at pet shows.

Track leads Customers wanted the custom colors and love the fact that they float.
Swim leads A lady in Virginia explained that she needed a lead about 12” in length with no handle as she swam next to her dog in competitions. Bonus was our leads float.
2 Dog Check Lead A gentleman asked me to make a 2 dog leash all of 8” long so he could train his Dobermans to walk side by side and stay by his side. Saw him at a show a year later and said it was the best leash he ever purchased.

Today we operate near the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, where every dog is a water dog.
